This tutorial shows how to set up a pair of avatars who always are wearing the same outfit, using Capettiya’s “Lia-chan Premium” as an example.
First, in one of the projects (call it Project A), create an Avatar Remote Link asset.
Fill in the “Embed expressions menu” and “Reference avatar” fields.
For “Embed expressions menu”, choose a menu which has the outfit-changing options (or a menu with that as a submenu).
Then, hit “Add parameters”
その後、「パラメーターを追加」を押してください。
We want either side to be able to change outfits, so set everything to Two Way.
It would be weird to sync the “manpu” popouts, so select manpu by clicking the = and then click ー to delete it.
The final Link Spec looks like this. Next, click Install to open the installer window.
Select the target avatar, and set role to “RX”. Then click Install.
Since everything is Two Way, RX and TX are mostly equivalent (technically, when they first connect, the RX side will be synced, but that’s all). However, if you set both to the same role, things won’t work.
You’re now done in Project A. Hit Ctrl-S to save, and pass the link spec asset file to your friend.
In Project B, import the Link Spec asset, and open the install window. This one we’ll set to TX.
Since we’re using the same avatar, we’ll use its pre-existing menus to control the parameters. As such, leave the “Install Menu Under” field unset.
Normally, parameter names are adjusted on the TX side to avoid clashing with preexisting parameters. However, in this case we want them to clash, so fill in the parameter names as shown here.
When you’re done with that, click Install, and you’re ready to upload your avatar!
